Have To Get My Game On, Failure Is No Option
So much for just cruising with a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) for a while, I got a job! Well sort of job that is, now I gotta get my game on. TBI Insider topics will be taking a back seat here and my job whines will be populating the bandwidth.
Too bad the position pays nothing, as far as I can tell, but if this will get my back to being a family leader insider then it’s all good.
I have been a state of Colorado certified family leader (FLTI, or Family Leadership Training Institute) since 2010 and they have a yearly Summit convention for the 500+ certified family leaders. Doing so put me in perfect alignment on working on jobs with no pay, again. I have attended this Summit only once and having been tasked as the Committee Family Leader to organize the day long agenda of breakout meeting educational programming.I have experience in putting a national convention together in Denver in years 2013 and 2014 before this traveling road show moved on to North Carolina so I do have experience in this kind of rodeo.
My first meeting to meet my statewide volunteer group is in a month and the Summit Date is October 17, 2016 so I have been getting myself all set up the last two days, notes and tasks a started.
Hope they are ready for me cause here I come!
To be continued…
Mike is not a TBI doctor, he is just an advocate for traumatic brain injury. He offers his advice on brain injury from a survivors perspective and it is up to you to take or ignore his advice. Meaning he is not responsible in any way for your actions. He offers his advice for free on the world wide web and you should take it as such, cheap advice.
